Standards for the Design & Construction of Web Content at NUI Maynooth (local access only). This document is now available in the Publications section of the website and details the new standards for web content.
About the Service
The NUI Maynooth website is maintained by Eclipse Internet Services in conjunction with the Computer Centre. We are a campus company based on the South Campus, and we are contracted to provide training and help to one nominated individual from each academic and service department within the university, as long as their website will reside on the www.nuim.ie webserver and will follow the standard template set.
Training and documentation is provided to each nominated department web editor to help him / her get the most out of the service. We also provide a telephone helpline which can be availed of between the hours of 10am -1pm daily on extensions 3540 or 3539. Please read our Terms and Conditons of Training & Support.

New Developments
We have just completed a large web project which involved re-designing and re-developing the entire website. Now that the roll-out on the new site has begun, we will be contacting editors to send them Macromedia Contribute connection keys to allow them to once more work on their websites, and we will be providing each editor with more training.
The new site has been designed with accessibility and equivalence of access for all in mind, and as such the editing process has changed. Editors will need to become aware of requirements they will need to fulfil when editing their pages and the training session will help them with that.
